You need to request leave if you miss your classroom, lab, or office obligations.
How to request leave
- If appropriate, arrange a substitute. It is generally appropriate to request a substitute if you miss two or more consecutive days of a given class. Please give your substitute a lesson plan. Or, ask the Career and Employment center to make a "Don't Cancel Class" presentation to your class on a variety of topics.
- Call 439-2181 x813 and leave a message before your absence. Include information about your substitute, if you have one.
- If you cannot fulfill your math lab responsibilities, either arrange a trade with another member of the math department in order to avoid math lab understaffing, or request leave. Also, please notify Carol Love at 439-2181 x3358 or Mike Valdez at 439-2181 x3470, and the math lab staff on duty at 439-2181 x3326 before your absence.
- Fill out a form to request leave at the Office of Instruction (before your absence, if at all possible). Include information about your substitute, if you have one.
