Shared Governance Council

Page history last edited by Erich Holtmann 2 yrs ago

The Shared Governance Council (SGC) is the most significant inter-constituency governance group on campus, and it addresses major policy and resources decisions.

Committees

The following committees report to the SGC:

  1. Professional Development
  2. Distance Education
  3. Planning
  4. Technology Advisory Group (TAG)

Academic and professional matters are the purview of the academic senate, but they pass through SGC as informational items.

Responsibilities

One of the annual responsibilities of the SGC is to make recommendations to the college president on how to spend the college budget. This is known as the Resource Allocation Process.
