Math Department agendas

I. Announcements
There will be an upcoming TLC position vote in Academic Senate, give Mara your thoughts so she can represent the dept on the vote.
Julie gave out data on the # of certificates completed last year – will be further discussed in DE
Turn in your book orders and let A’kilah know if you will be using computers in your spring classes by today.
Pat has a new ISBN for Carnegie he will send out this today
II. Action Items
Tue motioned, Julie 2nd to vote on the Math 25 COOR. It passed unanimously.
A subcommittee will meet to work on Math 75. A’kilah will send an email to Jennifer Saito requesting her input as she usually teaches this course.
III. Discussion Items
COOR updates
40 – still waiting for feedback from BW, we are ready to vote
50 – Julie will send out the updated version
4 – DE is discussing and will bring to the dept
Committee updates
Testing Center Policy – Tue will send out the most updated version and call for a vote at the next meeting
Challenge Exams – 30 challenge is in progress, the CFEQ’s for 30 are almost complete
Lab hours – Julie will request that ft instructors send her their desired spring lab hours. She will work with the scheduling committee to package lab hours for adjuncts.
Future agenda item request – construct a dept policy on instructors not using/following the department approved COOR’s.
Our next department meeting will be on Wednesday, October 21st .
