AVID is in 45 states, looks at student in the middle range of capabilites and is successful with getting students to four year schools.

Tue described different things from AVID that he is doing in his class; it is crtitical to integrate AVID into Math content Context.

AVID takes prep time, not just class curriculum
1. Can we AVIDize a particular class? the Math Dev Ed comittee? the department as a whole? the entire school?
2. In the Spring, do we do just professional development or go for a teaching coimmunity in the Spring with Ruth support?
