Holistic Grading (1 hour)

• Go over the rubric for Math 25 M25rubricfa08.doc
• Look at copies of a test and norm for Communication, Problem Solving, and Mutliple Representations, based on the rubric
• Hollistically grade a stratified sample (african american, hispanic, white, high/middle/low) of 9 Unit 1 Exams

   

  • Each student is graded twice. If scores are within 1, take the average. If not, have a third do it and take the average of the closest 2.
  • Each instructor will grade 3 exams for each SLO. (9 exams, copied twice makes 18, divided among 6 people)

Intro to KEEP (45 minutes)

• Go to the computer lab. Show my web page. Have others log in. Multiple logins work!!
• Make a template, play around

Homework

• Hollistically grade a stratified sample (african american, hispanic, white) of 6 Unit 1 Exams
• Pairs continue to meet and decide on an idea and an activity M25 Fa2008 TC timeline
• Tue and Weijian et all?? (play with the video camera for interviews)
• Tue and Weijian meet next week and create a 1 minute interview on Communication
